A Whole-Person Approach
We create opportunity for change using the body, mind, heart connection:
Body sensations and movements
Feelings and relationships
How you organise your thinking & how you talk to yourself
The body, heart, mind connecting it all together
Our whole-person approach is designed to foster an environment of safety and belonging.
We work with young people to support the development of emotional regulation and behavioural strategies, providing the practical skills and resources intended to assist them in completing daily tasks.

Occupational Therapy
Helping kids move, play, and grow with confidence.
Occupational Therapy is about more than just physical tasks—it’s the pathway to independence. We support children who find the "mechanics" of daily life challenging, providing them with tools to navigate their world with confidence.
At Sensational Kids, our team of Occupational Therapists (OTs) provide evidence-based care for children and adolescents in the south of Adelaide.
We understand that every child has a unique way of processing the world. Our OTs focus on building foundational skills through play-based therapy to help your child thrive at home, at school, and in the community.

Positive Behaviour Support Planning
Services
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Note: Positive Behaviour Support is an NDIS service provided by registered behaviour support providers. You can read more about this here.
Our mission at Sensational Kids South Australia (SKSA) is to support children and young people to live their most satisfying life. We know well-being is positively influenced by being able to do what you need to do and what you want to do, however behaviours of concern reduce a child's capacity to do this safely and negatively impact a child's sense of self and their relationships.
The overall goal of PBS is to improve a child's positive engagement, thus reducing the likelihood of behaviours of concern occurring in the first place, whilst at the same time managing risk.
We believe that children do well if they can and when there is a good fit between expectation and capacity then behaviours of concern will reduce.

Training
Providing tailored clinical training for support teams
Moving beyond basic care requires a deep understanding of the intersection between ability, environment, and personal goals. We provide professional training designed for Social Workers, SIL providers, and Mentors looking to elevate their standard of support.
Our training helps bridge the gap between clinical recommendations and daily implementation. We help your organisation move from "managing" to proactively supporting by identifying:
- Environmental factors: Identifying sensory and physical barriers within a participant's living or community space.
- Capacity Building Frameworks: Practical techniques to foster independence while maintaining a safety net.
- Person-Centred Design: Tools to align daily routines with the participant’s specific goals and functional requirements.
Professional Supervision
Are you an OT looking to deepen your clinical reasoning and ensure your practice remains sustainable? Professional supervision is more than a requirement—it’s a cornerstone of high-quality Occupational Therapy.
Our professional supervision provides a dedicated space for you to navigate complex caseloads. We focus on supporting you with:
-
Evidence-Based Clinical Reasoning: Bridging the gap between theory and practical client outcomes.
-
NDIS Proficiency: Providing "reasonable and necessary" reporting and functional assessments.
-
Ethical Practice: Navigating boundaries and professional standards in a complex sector.
-
Resilience & Longevity: Strategies to prevent burnout and maintain a career you continue to enjoy.
Led by an experienced, AHPRA-registered OT, supervision sessions prioritise reflective practice and professional integrity, ensuring you meet your CPD requirements while fostering high standards of care- for yourself and your clients.
